Frances Pekearo ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 16, 2026.Frances Rose Pekearo passed away on Monday March 9th at 3:00 P.M. at the age of 87. She was a resident at Benedictine Living Community. Born May 6th, 1938 in the Bronx, New York City, New York, she was the loving daughter of Francis Kemmey and Rose (Kennedy) Kemmey.Frances worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Beekman Downtown Hospital, now New York-Presbyterian Hospital, in Lower Manhattan for 15 years.Frances had a great love of language and travel. She taught English as a second language as well as naturalization preparation for her neighbors and those in need. She loved to read, write and listen to radio programs. She often travelled with her lifelong best friend well into her 80s. Quick witted and an avid conversationalist, she regaled us with her lavish stories whenever possible. We will greatly miss her creative takes on life and lessons she learned on her journeys.She is survived by her son Daniel Stephen Pekearo and daughter-in-law Linda Michelle Landry of Minneapolis and her best friend of 86 years Sandy Ricci.Legacy.com reports daily on death announcements in local communities nationwide.
