Wyoming, MI
Frances Paiz, beloved wife of Cruz “Cooie” Paiz, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 78. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, Frances lived with deep love, grace, and unwavering faith. Her relationship with the Lord guided every aspect of her life, shaping the way she cared for others. She found profound joy in prayer, in her family, and in quietly serving those around her.
She had a special gift for bringing people together. Frances loved cooking for her family, filling their home with the warmth of her meals. Many of her recipes became treasured family favorites, though she kept a few secret ingredients and techniques to herself. Her dishes, prepared with love, will forever remind her family of her presence. She also cherished her flowers and garden, finding peace and happiness in tending to them. Just as she nurtured her garden with patience and care, she tended to the lives of those she loved with the same dedication and tenderness.
Frances is lovingly survived by her husband, Cruz “Cooie” Paiz; their children, Cruz (Kathy) Paiz and Carmela Givihan; grandchildren Derek (Courtney) Paiz, Dominic Paiz, Briana Paiz, Christopher Darin, Justice Darin, Nicalo (Andreana) Darin, Anastasia Darin, and Destiny Darin; great-grandchildren Brayden Darin, Mikey Darin, Bear Darin, Zelda Colleon, Zayden Darin, Zy’aira Darin, and Jace Paiz; and her siblings Angelita Serrato, Hortensia (Selestino) Rincones, Mary Demery, Fannie (Rico) Garcia, Judy Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, and Al Longoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Gonzales and Lucia Longoria, and her sister, JoAnn Gonzales.
Her laughter, kindness, and gentle spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her. The love she gave, the faith she lived by, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of her family.
