Frances Orene Parrish

Frances Parrish, 83, of Duette, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on September 1, 1941, in Fairbanks, Florida, to the late Venon and Julia Prescott, she graduated from Pinecrest High School. In 1961, Frances married the love of her life, Clyde John Parrish, and together they built a home filled with devotion and family.

She is survived by her children, Mildred (Paul) Everheart and Ebson (Julie) Parrish; her grandchildren, Lelee, Jason, Kyle, and Tiffany; and her great-grandson, Jose. Frances is also survived by her brother, Louis Prescott, and her sisters, Betty Hunter, Inez Hoover, Nellie McCarthy Delong, and Catherine Manning, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Frances dedicated many years to the Manatee County School system as a custodian and lunchroom worker, where she was fondly remembered by staff and students at Duette Elementary. In the early 1990s, she joined the Duette Volunteer Fire Department and later served more than a decade as an elected Fire Commissioner for the Duette Fire Rescue District.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Parrish, her brothers Vernon, Charles, Howard, and Doyle, and her stepmother. Frances will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
