Floyd Coleman

Floyd Coleman, 84, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at Stanford Crossing on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born on January 3, 1942, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Virgil Coleman and the late Ersie Brown Coleman.

Floyd spent much of his life farming and found quiet joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He loved fishing, singing, and listening to gospel music on the radio, especially the Swap N Shop on WPBK-FM. He cherished taking his children for chicken dinners and outings to the park when they were young, and he was a faithful member of Faith Temple in Jesus Name.

He is survived by his three sons, Jackie Coleman (Donna), Matthew Coleman, and Timothy Coleman; his step-daughter, Nora Judd (Robert); his sister, Anna Lee Griffin; three grandchildren, Steven Coleman, Dylan Coleman, and Izayah Coleman; and two step-grandchildren, Shanna Rice and Jacob Judd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Malicoat Coleman; his parents; three brothers, Vernon, Lonzo, and Clifford Coleman; and two sisters, Violet Kidd and Hazel Goode.
