Florence White, age 82, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Born on October 23, 1944, in Corning, Arkansas, she devoted many years to her work at L.A. Darling before retiring. Florence found deep joy in cooking, shopping, tending her flower garden, and spending cherished time with her family. A woman of strong faith, she remained an active member of the Baptist community throughout her life.
On May 6, 1963, Florence married James White, and together they shared 62 loving years of marriage filled with companionship and devotion. She is survived by her husband, James White; her daughter, Tonya (Travis) Causey of Dexter, Missouri; her son, Mark (Tracey) White of Jacksonville, Arkansas; her brother, Jerry Kirby of Corning, Arkansas; her sisters, Linda (Gary) Crawford of Florissant, Missouri, and Rosemary Shipley of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; grandchildren Jonathon, Monica, Kalli, and Drew; great-grandchildren Lily, Trystin, Keilyn, and James Riley; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen H. and Rosalee (Nesbitt) Kirby; her brother, Glen Kirby; and her sisters, Wilma Rice and Billie Sue Holland.
Florence will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy of love and faith continues to live on in those who were blessed to know her.
