Florence Elizabeth Linenberger April 20, 1937 – March 9, 2026 Florence Linenberger, a woman defined by her unwavering faith, and an expansive, generational love for her family, passed away at the age of 88. Throughout her life, Florence stood as a cornerstone for her loved ones, moving through the world with a quiet strength and a deep desire that all she knew would come to share in the peace of Christ.Born on April 20, 1937, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, Florence began her journey as the cherished daughter of Walter Scott Pierson and Edna Louise Selby Pierson. Her early years across Northern California and Southern Oregon forged the character of a woman who would become the heart of her own home. In 1956, she began her most beautiful chapter as a wife, entering into a lifelong covenant of marriage with Donald A. Linenberger. Together, they modeled a partnership of 65 years, built on the firm foundation of the Gospel-a testament to enduring commitment and shared grace. As a mother, Florence was the primary nurturer and guide for her three sons. She poured her life into Alan (Rashell), Scott (Kristine), and Donald E. (Adrienne), raising them with a balance of love and spiritual wisdom. Her influence as the matriarch only deepened as her family grew. She became the beloved grandmother to Amber (Charlie), Ashley (Brent), Stephanie, Luke (Andrea), Nathan, Isabela, and Gabriela, and eventually a doting great-grandmother to ten. For Florence, family was not just a lineage, but a mission field and her greatest earthly joy.Florence graduated from Coquille High School in 1955 and attended Willamette University with Honors at Entrance. Her career reflected her spirit of service, from the Oregon State Tax Commission to her years as a Medical Assistant at Mid-Valley Family Clinic. In retirement, she and Donald enjoyed their vacation home in Sun City West and traveled the world, yet her favorite destination was always wherever her family was gathered.Above all, Florence was a woman of the Word of God as she was baptized in 1947. In recent years she attended Albany Hope Church since 1974, she rested her life on her favorite scripture passage, Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." This verse was the anchor for her soul, providing the assurance that through every season of her 88 years, God's hand was guiding her for His good purposes. It was her greatest heartbeat that her family would know this same saving grace through faith in Jesus. Florence has now entered the presence of the Savior, having finished her race with grace and dignity. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has heard the words: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."In lieu of flowers the family requests you may make donations to St. Jude's Children's' Hospital and/or to Riviera Christian School of Salem, Oregon. There will be a celebration of life memorial service at Hope Church 2817 Santiam Hwy in Albany, Oregon at a date and time to be determined.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
