Florence A. "Flo" Kitis

Florence A. “Flo” Kitis, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born and raised in Perryopolis to the late John F. Russell, Sr., and the late Josephine (Obed) Russell, she remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life. A 1960 graduate of Frazier High School in Perryopolis, Flo went on to attend Grace Martin Business School in Pittsburgh. She worked for ten years at Bankers Litho Company before serving as office manager at Reshmi Eye Care Center until her retirement.

Flo was a longtime member of Harmony Presbyterian Church in Belle Vernon, where she faithfully served as a deacon for many years. She shared 54 years of marriage with her loving husband, George Stephen Kitis. She is survived by her two brothers, David W. Russell, Sr., and John F. Russell, Jr., of Warren, Ohio, as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her niece, Dianne Russell. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her dedication to her church and family, and the steady, caring presence she offered to those who knew and loved her.
