He was born on December 12, 1936 in Uniontown, PA. He was the son of the late Roy and Sadie Sands Linderman. Flay graduated from Connellsville Area High School and served in the 28th division of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Flay retired from Anchor Hocking Glass in South Connellsville, PA and Emory Hospital formerly Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, GA. He attended First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, FL.Flay is survived by his wife of 62 years Connie Rae Vanorsdale Linderman and their son Roy Wendell Linderman and his wife Laine of Savannah, GA. Grandchildren Krystal and her husband Robert Purvis, Brittany and her husband Matthew Stroud, Hunter and his fiancé Ozalynn Davis. Great grandchildren Madison, Daniel, Easton and Rowan.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers James & Dale Linderman and sisters, Freda Cumberson, Helen Linderman, Dorothy Gaskill, Nellie Banks, Betty Barron and Shirley Rugg.
