Everett, MA
Fiorina Ristaino, age 101, of Everett, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born in Sorbo Serpico, Italy, in the province of Avellino, she met and married her beloved husband, Adamo. Together they immigrated to America with their two young children aboard the SS Independence, arriving at Ellis Island before settling in Everett to reunite with her father. She remained a dedicated member of the Everett community for more than six decades.
Fiorina worked on the assembly line at the Schrafft’s Candy Company in Charlestown. She took great joy in singing “O Sole Mio,” knitting, cooking, and spending time outdoors, especially tending her garden. She lovingly knitted blankets, baby hats, sweaters, and booties for her family, and she was known for her delicious meals and the unconditional love she showed everyone. A devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Everett, she cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother above all else.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Sabino and Angiolina (Marra) Cataldo and the dear sister of the late Filomena Cataldo and Alfonso Cataldo. Fiorina was predeceased by her husband, Adamo, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Maria DeSimone and her husband Alfonso, Domenic Ristaino and his wife Anna, and Anna Indrisano and her husband Christopher; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Cristina, Teresa, Adriana, Christopher, and Adamo; five great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
