He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Deanna Blankenship. He is survived by: his children, Susie Meneghin, James Blankenship (Tila) and Manuel Contreras (Karyn); and his grandchildren, Brittney, Christine, Jasmine, Raquel, Bret, Kara, Paul, Joseph, Tyler and Aiden. He is also survived by several Great-Grandchildren, nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. C. Aleks & Son Funeral Home, Inc. (1324 Southfield Rd, Lincoln Park, MI 48146). A rosary will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Andre Bessette Church (4250 W Jefferson Ave, Ecorse, MI 48229). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
