Feliza "Phyllis" A. Torres, née Flores, passed away peacefully at home in Braceville, Illinois, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Surrounded by her daughters, she left behind a life deeply rooted in family, music, and the simple joys of sunshine and togetherness. Formerly of Chicago, Phyllis was known for her love of The Beatles and for cherishing every moment spent with those she held dear, especially her niece Pamela.
She is survived by her loving children, Angel (David) Lemons, Joseph Anthony (Michelle) Torres Jr., and Feliza Davis (Tim Bock); her siblings, Rosemary (the late James) Curry, John Flores, Mercedes Guzman (the late Herk Poulos), Diane (George) Delgado, and Mark (Mavra) Morales; grandchildren Justin (Adrianna) Rogers, Sara Lemons, Craig Lemons, Christy Lemons, Marissa Torres, Crystal Maciaga, Jacob Maciaga, and Matthew Maciaga; great-grandchildren Angelo, Gryffin, Kiley, Easton, Kenny, Greyson, Norah, and Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo Flores and Genevieve (Alfredo) Morales; sisters Virginia Murillo, Regina Ortega, and Elaine Morales; and brothers Angelo Flores Jr., Ronald Flores, and Alfredo Morales Jr.
Phyllis will be remembered as a warm and devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt whose greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the many lives she touched.
