Faye Coultas ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes and Hedges Cemetery - Camdenton on Mar. 16, 2026.Faye Marie Coultas, 86, of Camdenton, Missouri, died in Osage Beach on March 14th of 2026.She was born in Hopedale, Illinois in 1939 to Arthur W. Nafziger and Verna M. (Sutter) Nafziger. She attended Hopedale Community High School before studying and earning her B.S. in special education from Illinois State University in 1966. Her degree was well used in teaching hospitalized psychotic adolescents at Galesburg State Research Hospital. She then went on to earn her M.A. in psychology from Bradley University in 1969. To which she worked in clinical and school psychology until 1972. During this time, she was an integral part of the public school special education cooperative in the south suburbs of Chicago. After her immersive study and work in this field she decided to change course and earned her Juris Doctor from IIT / Chicago-Kent in 1980 while also studying piano at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. After practicing at a couple of law firms, she opened her own practice in 1986 where she continued her work until retirement.She is predeceased by her parents and one sister, Betty Jean Cender.She is survived by her three children Victor C. Hostetler, Lake Ozark, MO; Marguerite F. Rector (Christopher), Camdenton, MO; and Andrew S. Hostetler (Doris Wilson), Iberia, MO. As well as eleven (11) grandchildren and fourteen (14) great-grandchildren. Faye is also survived by her sister, Patricia Murphy, and her two brothers, Paul Nafziger and Joel Nafziger.Faye was an active member of many churches of the years, most presently Community Christian of Camdenton where she served as a devoted organist and pianist. She loved playing for the church and was exuberantly happy to share her passion for the Lord and music in tandem.Faye will always be remembered for her tenacity and the way she approached life. We couldn't have asked for a better mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and will miss Faye every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2026 at 4:00 pm followed immediately by her memorial service at 5:00 pm at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home in Camdenton, MO.Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020 (573) 346-2090.
