Fay Giles Anderson, of Johns Creek, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. Born on October 3, 1939, in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willa Gertrude Giles and Minus Van Buren Giles. She graduated from Miller High School and later spent thirty years in Columbus, Georgia, where she raised her family and formed many lasting friendships. Twenty-six years ago she moved to Duluth, Georgia, continuing to enjoy a full life surrounded by loved ones.
Faith remained a guiding force throughout Fay’s life. She most recently worshipped at Cumberland Community Church in Smyrna and Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Johns Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Richard Fetner and Carroll “Andy” Anderson, and her brother Earl Giles. Fay is survived by her sons, Craig Fetner and his wife Terri of Savannah, and Alan Fetner and his wife Cindy of Johns Creek. She was a proud grandmother to Maggi Rivera, Austin “Gus” Fetner, Victoria Hughes, David Norman, Brittany Scott, Taylor Kelly, Lindsey Myers, Ansley Goss, Garrett Fetner, and Macy Fetner, and a loving great-grandmother to Millie Scott, Josiah Fetner, Dale Kelly, and Elijah Goss.
Fay will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kindness, and the many warm memories she created with all who knew her.
