High Point, NC

Ezell “Mike” Conyers, 68, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with peritoneal cancer. Born on December 28, 1957, in Clarendon County, South Carolina, to the late Haywood Bosier and Ida Mae Conyers, he grew up in Silver, South Carolina, and attended Scotts Branch High School in Summerton. In adulthood, he made his home in High Point, where he worked for many years at Thomasville Furniture Industries before retiring from the High Point Enterprise.

Mike will be remembered fondly for his love of fishing, his deep knowledge of cars, and his willingness to offer advice on any mechanical matter or vehicle purchase. A devoted Denver Broncos fan, he also cherished southern soul music and could often be heard playing Bishop Bullwinkle, Theodis Ealey, or even Cardi B while driving through town. Above all, he was known for his dependable nature and generous heart. Whether through porch conversations or timely phone calls to check on loved ones, he was always ready to lend a hand or provide a ride, no matter the circumstances.

He lived a happy life surrounded by family and friends who cherished him. Throughout his years, he faced multiple battles with cancer yet continued to embrace each day on his own terms. In his final chapter, he chose peace over pain with remarkable grace, finding comfort in his faith and the assurance that he was ready to go home to the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood Bosier and Ida Mae Conyers; brothers Aaron Conyers Sr. and Morgan Conyers; an infant sister; sister-in-law Daisy Conyers; nephews Aaron Conyers Jr. and Issac Burgess; and niece Beatrice Green. He leaves behind cherished memories with his sons, Ta’Marcus Conyers and Rashon Conyers; daughters, Taneika Conyers and Latoya Conyers; six grandsons, Nasean Canty, Nicholas Conyers, Qwinton Carroll Jr., Darrian Conyers, Jayceon Conyers, and Rhys Conyers; four granddaughters, Amoni Carroll, Nathalia Conyers, Soraya Conyers, and Paige Conyers; brother Edward Conyers; sister Itrell Conyers; nephews Desmon Lloyd, Jonathan Hopkins, and Edward Murray; nieces Cynthia Conyers, Consongia Coleman, and Raven Joseph; step-daughter Denise Little; special daughter-in-law Kimberly Craddock; and a host of other relatives and friends.
