January 23, 1951— March 5, 2026
Poplar, MT
Everett Dale Jones, 75, of Poplar, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on January 23, 1951, to Frank Jones and Annie Small, he grew up in Riverside and graduated from Poplar High School in 1971.
A humble and hardworking man, Everett held various positions throughout his life, including at A&S Industries, West Electronics, Fort Peck Community College, and most recently at Fort Peck Transportation, where he worked until the day he passed. He found deep joy in attending powwows and supporting his local basketball teams, yet his greatest pleasure came from taking cruises with his beloved granddaughter Taini Josephine Tuttle.
Everett raised four of his grandchildren and cherished them all, but Taini held a special place in his heart as the apple of his eye and his pride and joy. She remained by his side until the very end.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Travis) Tuttle and Frank Jones; his significant other, Connie Fast Horse; and his grandchildren, Tiona and Theada Jones, Charlies, Quentin, and Lennox Youpee, Lillian, Taini, Davis and Evette June Tuttle, Misty Dawn, McKensie, and baby Frank Jones, Adrien, and Aliyaina Mutuck; as well as his great-grandchildren, Nazalin Boyd, Cambrey, Casey, Carson, and baby Kevin Schindler, and baby Melvene Youpee. He rejoins in the spirit world his parents, Frank Jones and Annie Small; his brothers, Ray Bets His Medicine, Dorrance White Hawk, Glenford (Tex) Red Eagle, Philmore and Oscar Jones; his sisters, Marie Bets His Medicine, Birdie White Hawk, Beverly Red Eagle, and Sybil, Thelma, and Sylvia “Princess Grace” Jones; and his granddaughter, Constance Melvene Youpee.
