Evelyn Morgan ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2026.Evelyn Morgan passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026, with her daughter by her side, surrounded by love in her final moments. She was born on March 7, 1939, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to the late George and Margaret Small Keziah.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otto Morgan, who passed away in 2018. Together they shared 59 years of marriage built on faith, love, and devotion to family. The couple lived in Greenville for many years before Evelyn moved to Charleston seven years ago to be closer to family after his passing.She is survived by her children, Otto Jarrett "Jay" Morgan III; Mark Morgan and his wife, Dawn; and Leigh Ann Rybak. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah Noel Morgan Gottlieb and her husband, Kevin; Chloe Bea Morgan Allen and her husband, Matt; and Isabella Morgan Rybak and her husband, Chris. Her great-grandchildren include Bowen Gottlieb, Sully Bea Gottlieb, and Avett Allen.Evelyn had an energetic spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed playing tennis and, in her later years, found great joy walking the trails of Daniel Island. She especially loved strolling by the water and sitting on the swings with her daughter, enjoying a matcha while listening to the music of George Jones and Chris Stapleton.She will be remembered for her strength, her faith, and the quiet moments she shared with those closest to her.
