Evelyn E. (Osborne) Carlsen, 82, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after an illness.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond J. Carlsen; three children, David Carlsen and his wife, Joanne Quirk of Westfield, Alan Carlsen and his wife, Jennifer of Sutton, and Laura Gordon and her husband, Sean of Worcester; a brother, Robert Osborne and his wife, Evelyn of West Greenwich, Rhode Island; a sister, Susan Lobdell and her husband, Robert of Salisbury, Maryland; four grandchildren, Kylie, Samuel, Lyla and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved dog, Barclay.

Born in Providence and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Hornbrook) Osborne. A proud graduate of Cranston East High School, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from Rhode Island College. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Worcester, where she served as assistant treasurer for many years. Evelyn found great pleasure in knitting, crocheting, and traveling the world with her husband. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her.
