Evelyn A. Agnew

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn A. Agnew of East Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 7, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Herman M. Agnew; her parents, Joao Rocha and Maria Rocha (Santos); and her siblings, Deolinda Fagundes, Eva Enos, Laura Esposito, Hilda Costa, Angelina Lewis, John Rocha, Frank Rocha, James Lewis, Tony Lewis and Antone Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Agnew (Diane), Donna Giarrusso (Gene), David Agnew and Robert Agnew (Tina-Marie); her grandchildren, Jaime Halligan, Steven Agnew Jr., David Agnew Jr., Brandon Agnew, Taylor Agnew, Nicholas Agnew and Bryan Agnew; and her great grandchildren, David Agnew III, Jack Halligan, Maura Halligan, Joseph Agnew, Cayden Agnew, Victoria Agnew, Hunter Agnew, Isabella Agnew and Liam Agnew.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brendan Church (60 Turner Ave, Riverside, RI 02915).
