He was predeceased by: his parents, Erman Suddeth and Lena Epps Suddeth; his grandson Daniel Carroll; and his siblings, Mable Bridges and Frank Suddeth.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cantrell Suddeth; his son Kent; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Suddeth of Dalton, GA; his daughter Karen Sloan of Chatsworth, GA; and his stepchildren, Rev. Russell (Leta Hood) of Ellijay and Les (Lark Cantrell) of Ellijay. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540).
