He graduated from Gilroy High School and later attended Gavilan Community College in Gilroy, before his family moved back to the Ann Arbor area.Around 2000, he began working as a central processor at JPMorgan Chase Bank. He later went on disability in 2018.He enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time at the casino with his father, and traveling, especially trips back to Greece to visit family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrius and Kiki (Grammatiki) Vamvoudakis (Dimitrelias).He is survived by his brother, George Vamvoudakis; his nephew, Noah Vamvoudakis; uncle, Athanasios and aunt, Niki Vorris; close cousins, Peter Vorris, George (Tonya) Zemke, Angelina (Jason) Burgess of Arizona, Nick (Nancy) Dimitri, Christina (Derek) Holman, and Anna (Brad) Fenn-Anstruther of California; as well as extended family members, and friends who will remember him with love.Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Nie Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor MI 48103 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with a 5:00 pm Trisagion service. Funeral services will be at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3109 Scio Church Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will start at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Ann Arbor.Please sign the Tribute Wall and share a memory of Evan.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
