Eva M. Starcher, 82, of Lakemore, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born on January 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadine Holly. Eva was a longtime member of the Army Navy Garrison #273 in Lakemore, where she took great pleasure in cooking for local veterans. She remained active for more than 50 years as an avid bowler in numerous leagues, and she also enjoyed playing bingo and cheering for Cleveland sports teams. She cherished the outdoors, especially camping and fishing with family and friends. A gifted singer with a beautiful voice, Eva loved encouraging her family to sing along with her.
She will be remembered as a woman of deep faith who held a profound love for her family. Her infectious laughter and wonderful sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Starcher; her daughter, Sheila M. Hampton; her son, James “Jim” D. Gartner; her granddaughter, Melissa Brown; and her sister, Twila Jo Radcliff.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Michele (Rick) White and Chanin (Wes) George; her grandchildren, Misty, Jay, Renee, Josh, Shaina, Justin, Lexie, and Lauren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Sue Bates; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
