Hominy, OK

Eunice Hensley, age 93 of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on March 10, 2026. She lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and gratitude for life’s simple blessings.

Born on August 15, 1932 to James Ellis Jackson and Georgia Wade Jackson, Eunice grew up in the towns of Battiest and Butner before moving to the Wewoka area. She married Billy Jack Hensley on September 28, 1953, and the couple shared 58 years of marriage. Together they raised two sons, Larry Hensley and Kent Hensley. Eunice cherished her years as a homemaker, nurturing her family with care and devotion. She also worked from home managing the telephone answering service for the family business, Sooner Pride Services, and often spoke with pride about the many years she, her husband, and their sons worked together.

A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Eunice shared her love for God with everyone she met. Her faith guided her life and shaped the kindness and compassion she showed others. She spoke often and proudly of her love for her family and found great joy in simple pleasures. She took special pride in her yard and flowers, spending peaceful hours tending her plants and mowing. Her efforts were recognized when she won the community “Best Yard” award. Those who knew her will remember Eunice as a woman of warmth, quiet strength, and steadfast faith who never met a stranger.

She is survived by her son Kent Hensley and his wife Sara, daughter-in-law Linda Hensley, grandsons Joe Hensley and his wife Cassie, Justin Hensley, Skyler Hensley and his wife Kaylee, and Seth Hensley, as well as great-grandchildren Abigail Hensley and Ezekiel Hensley. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Wanda Hensley, her dear friend Shirley Miller, many nieces and nephews, and her devoted caretaker Cecilia Passmore. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Hensley, her son Larry Hensley, and her eight siblings.
