Eula Mae Edwards

Eula Mae Edwards, age 84, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at her residence under the care of Coastal Hospice.

Born on August 4, 1941 in Hazlehurst to the late Clayton Harrell and the late Willie Mae Harrell, Eula Mae was a longtime member of Oak View Baptist Church. She dedicated 44 years of her career to the Jeff Davis Courthouse, serving as Clerk of Court for 24 of those years. She had a remarkable way of making everyone who knew her feel special. Her warm, genuine smile brightened every room she entered, and her generous heart and kind spirit touched all those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and abounding love that will never be forgotten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lee Sharpe and Eudell Brewer.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James L. “PeeWee” Edwards of Hazlehurst; her son, Stacey (Rhonda) Edwards of Hazlehurst; her sister, Bonnie Nix of Hazlehurst; and two grandchildren, Cody (Sophia) Edwards and Cade (Jordan) Edwards.
