We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2026, at the age of 80, Eugene Robert Eckert of Fremont, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Eugene leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Eugene may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene R. Eckert and Marjorie "Marge" Eckert Sr. (Savercool); his former wife Joyce Marlene Reliford; and his wife Joyce "Marlene" Eckert. He is survived by: his son Paul Eckert (Renae) of Wapakoneta, OH; his grandchildren, Rylen, Amelya and Lydia; David Eckert of Hawthorne, NJ..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Community Church (900 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH 43420). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials can be made in Bob's honor to Grace Community Church, Croghan Elementary School or the Ohio Veterans Association.
