Eugene Paul Snodgrass, age 91, of Thompson, Ohio, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on October 17, 1934, in Virginia, he moved with his family to Painesville, where he graduated from Riverside High School. He later made his home in Thompson in 1966. Eugene served four years in the United States Air Force before beginning a 35-year career with Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Painesville, from which he retired.

A devoted family man, Eugene cherished his wife and sons and was deeply loved in return. He remained actively involved in his sons’ lives, coaching Thompson Little League for many years, serving as Cub Master for the Thompson Cub Scouts, and participating in youth wrestling in the Ledgemont area. He coached the varsity Ledgemont wrestling team, played a key role in the construction of the Ledgemont football field, and served on the Ledgemont Board of Education. He was also a trustee for the Madison YMCA. An avid antique car enthusiast, Eugene was one of the founders of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Penn Ohio Model “A” Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Snodgrass. Eugene is survived by his three sons, Mark Snodgrass, Michael (Alma) Snodgrass, and Matthew Snodgrass, as well as his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Morgan, and Casey Snodgrass. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember him with great affection.
