Eugene Hunt ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Fisher Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Redford on Mar. 13, 2026.Obituary For Eugene HuntEugene Hunt of Detroit, Michigan departed this earthly place on March 3, 2026.Affectionately known by family and friends as "Cool" "Buster" "Uncle Bo".Eugene was the third born to Charles and Suphiena Hunt, with older brother Charles jr. an older sister Katherine, younger sisters Luvenia and Jeanette. Eugene was a member of Jos Campau Ave Church of God.Growing up Cool was educated in the Detroit Public Schools system and never met a person who wasn't a friend. Growing up as an adult, he enjoyed family motorhome trips and fishing on the family boat. In adult years, Eugene developed an interest in roller skating at Northland skating rink with his sister "Peanut" and a love for all things with wheels. You name it he could drive it! This was even evident in his professional career as an owner and operator and employee of Continental Trucking Company. In a true entrepreneurial spirit, he owned and maintained a lawn care, snow removal and automotive repair business. Uncle Bo, aka Cool, loved sport cars particularly the Chevy Corvette and Chevy Camaro, oh and you can't forget he was a motorcycle enthusiast. You could often catch him riding around the city with his motorcycle club "The Soul Stars".With all the love he had for cars, family, and friends, nothing came close to his greatest gifts and most proud accomplishments; at the age of 22 he became a father to his only daughter Twana (Sweetpea) Jackson (Barbara) and at age 35 was married to Patricia and had his only son Eugene (Jason)Hunt. He was the proud grandfather to his grandson Gregory (Sweetpea) and great grandson Ju'ron. Eugene made the point of making sure his lineage knew as well as felt a dad's love. Exciting outings with the kids included shopping trips, ice cream trips, fun yet dangerous motorcycle rides! He also loved taking his kids and neighborhood kids on semi rides. If you ever hung on Biltmore, you knew the vibe! We can't forget the barbershop trips on the weekends to Mr. Aaron's. Jason cried during haircuts more than he would sleep. Sweetpea was daddy's little girl and Jason was his "main man". He kept his children on his hip. The silly side would come out while visiting his grandson Greg as a baby. He would often love to rub his rough scruffy beard on his face and make Greg have a screaming fit then laugh about it!Eugene was a no nonsense, tell it like it is cool guy. He had a heart of gold, however, was not to be played with! He loved his family immensely. He had a love of gold jewelry including rings, watches, bracelets and chains. And he was very fond of the Afro pick and cold Colt 45 beer. He was always there to lend a hand and help family and friends whenever they needed. Even in the last week of his passing, he was helping family and friends as the go to guy for all things!Eugene was preceded in death by parents Charles and Suphiena Hunt and two sisters Luvena Thomas and Katherine Owens. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Twana (Sweetpea) Jackson, son Eugene Jason Hunt, grandson Gregory Jackson, great grandson Ju'ron (Greg), brother Charles N. Hunt Jr, sister Jeanette Hunt. A host of special nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews' cousins and friends.Respectfully Submitted Twana Jackson and Eugene Jason HuntPlease send cards/condolences:: Eugene Jason Hunt2767 Castlewood rdColumbus Oh. 43209: Twana Jackson (Sweetpea)19822 Telegraph rd.
