Eugene Seely ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by White-Sanders Funeral Home - Qulin from Mar. 5 to Mar. 6, 2026.Eugene Dwight Seely passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.Mr. Seely was a native of Qulin, Missouri, and had been a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, for 44 years. He was a graduate of the St. Louis Police Academy and served as a police officer for 11 years, during which time he met his beloved wife while serving with the PBPD. He was also a 31st Degree Mason and a member of the Master Lodge.Following his law enforcement career, Mr. Seely retired from Jack Cooper Transport in 2007. He was a member of Shriner's for decades and remained active in service organizations for many years. As an ordained minister, he faithfully served his community and taught Sunday school at several churches, most recently at Life Tabernacle.He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Marie Seely; his daughters, Dawn Lynette Meloy and Sherry Lynn Watts; his sons, Jerry Dion Seely and Tony Alan Seely; 9 grandchildren, Michael Seely, Joshua Seely, Olivia Meloy, Grady Meloy, Elana Farabough, Tristan Seely, Bellinda Lara, KimChambless, and Donnie Watts; as well as 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.Mr. Seely will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his faith, and his many years of service to his community.Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Qulin Cemetery in Qulin, MO.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
