Eugene Bramlett Posey

Eugene Bramlett Posey, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi.

Born on October 28, 1939, in Oxford, Mississippi, Bramlett later made his home in Brandon, where he lived for many years. A retired salesman, he took pride in his work and the lasting relationships he built throughout his career. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army and continued his service as a Military Officer in the National Guard. In his free time, Bramlett was an avid hunter and fisherman who found great joy in the outdoors and lived life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Posey. He is survived by his three children, Cindy Burton (Steve) of Selma, Alabama, Jeff Posey (Amanda) of Decatur, Mississippi, and Sharon Posey Lofton of Ridgeland, Mississippi, as well as his brother, Chucky Posey, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Bramlett will be fondly remembered for his dedicated service to his country and the genuine pleasure he took in the simple gifts of hunting, fishing, and time spent in nature.
