Eufracia Mata Mendez was born on March 13, 1942, in Querétaro, Mexico, and passed away on March 7, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered on faith, family, and love.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Eufracia prayed the rosary daily and faithfully wore her scapular as a symbol of her devotion. Her spiritual strength served as a quiet source of comfort and inspiration for everyone around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, filling her home with flowers and tending to her plants with care. She loved listening to music, playing lotería, and most of all, spending time with her family. She had a fondness for wearing jasmine-scented perfume and cherished staying connected with loved ones through video calls.

Eufracia is lovingly remembered by her children: Verulo Trejo Mata, Carmelo Trejo Mata, Adelina Luna, Maria Gonzalez, Gildardo Trejo Mata, Felipe Trejo Mata, Claudia Trejo Mata, and Maricruz Trejo Mata. She is also survived by her siblings: Augustina Mata, Crisanto Mata, Leon Mata, and Atanasio Mata. Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Teresa, Sergio, Evelia, Abel, Nancy, Daniel, Manuel, Erick, Abigal, Giovanni, Ossiel, Lesley, Vanessa, Hayley, Bryan, Kimberly, Dayana, and Amy, as well as her great-grandchildren: Violet, Axel, Maverick, Ismael, Alexander, Arlet, Ashley, Jazmin, Abel Jr., Sarahi, Teresita, Aldo, Karyme, Yeyleen, and Yarel.

She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and the warmth she brought to her family. Her home was always filled with prayer, flowers, laughter, and the gentle scent of jasmine. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her love and faith will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her.
