Ethel Vairin Nestor, age 92, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on March 6, 2026. She was born on September 22, 1933, to the late Gilbert E. Vairin and Bernadine Bourgeois.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert T. Nestor, Ethel is survived by her daughters, Jan Scholvin (Matt), Ann Roussel (Derrell), Linda Clesi (Frank), and Susan Roussel (Darren). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather, Linzy, Brandon, Adam, Lisa, Jordan, Renee, Lesli, and Ross; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gilbert “Sonny” Vairin.
Ethel found joy in fishing, traveling, dancing, sewing, and her music. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family.
