She was predeceased by: her mother Thelma Rose Mathis; her grandparents, Blaine Sampsel and Ethel Stocks; her siblings, Gary Duncan (Sunny Lowe) and Teresa Khan; and her aunts and uncles, Glen Ray Samples, Michael Sines, Donna Rose Sampsel and Jennifer Mae Williams.

She is survived by: her daughters, Helen and Connie Gibson; the father of her children Ed Gibson; her siblings, Tammy Hammonds, Eddie Duncan, Dennis Duncan, James Duncan and Charles Duncan; and her aunts, Louise Marsee, Ollie Forsythe (Ray Hooks) and Frances Sines. She is also survived by other extended family members and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
