Ethel Moreno ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Memorial Home - Red Bank on Mar. 3, 2026.Ethel Isabelle (Poling) Moreno passed away peacefully March 2, 2026 at the age of 82. Born and raised in Keyport, NJ, Isabelle spent most of her life in the town she loved. As a young girl, she could often be found helping on the family farm or spending time with the many horses she adored throughout the years. Those early days shaped her lifelong love of animals and the simple joys of life.Isabelle worked as a nurse at Bayshore Hospital for most of her career. She was steady, capable, and direct - the kind of nurse who told you exactly what you needed to hear, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Bedside manner may not have been her specialty, but her dedication and work ethic never wavered, and her patients were always in competent hands. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred T. Poling Sr. and Ethel (Truex) Poling; her husband, John Richard Moreno Sr.; her siblings, Richard, Alfred Jr., Donald, and Florence; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Epps. She is lovingly remembered by her children: David; Cheryl (Tom); Sandra; John Jr. and Sister-in-law Helene. She also leaves behind her ten grandchildren: Christine (Deron), David (Jacquelyn), Karen, Annmarie, Denise, Kimberly, Michael, Jonathan, and Madison; along with fifteen great-grandchildren: Alexis, Anthony, Terrek, Bryson, Savannah, Airyhanna, Isaiah, Sophia, Maylynn, Mireya, Darren, Jaxson, Sadie, Amber, Eliana and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Isabelle was strong-willed, devoted to her family, and never one to sugarcoat her thoughts. Those who knew her understood that beneath her firm exterior was a deep love for her family and pride in the life she built.A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Ethel "Isabelle" Moreno's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at StJude.org.
