Ethan William James Hillsman

Ethan William James Hillsman, 24, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on October 16, 2001, in Warrensburg, Ethan graduated from Warrensburg High School in May 2020. Between his junior and senior years, he attended Army Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Following graduation, he completed AIT at Fort Leonard Wood as a distinguished honor graduate and enlisted in the Army Reserves.

Ethan was an active member of Boy Scouts Troop 513, where he achieved the rank of Life Scout. He found joy in weekly Dungeons and Dragons gatherings with his father, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Skylar Hillsman; his son, Emery; his siblings, Gavin Hillsman, Aylex Hillsman, Isaiah Hillsman, Kanin Foster, Taryn Foster, Carly Foster, Ethan Parten, and Joshuah Hillsman; his mother, Elizabeth Sudduth Foster; his maternal grandmother, Linda Sudduth; his paternal grandparents, Don and Teresa Hillsman; his step-grandparents, Beverly Swihart and Chuck Swihart; and his friend and mentor, Benjamin Johnson, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William James Hillsman; his stepmother, Vanna Lynn Swihart Hillsman; and his maternal grandfather, Larry Sudduth.
