Esther E. Long

We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2026, at the age of 96, Esther E. Long of Halifax, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Patton and Freda Patton (Miller); her husband Wilmer Long; her grandson Chris Long; and her sisters, Grace Scott, Evie Matter and Jean Miller.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Long (Karen) of Florida, Jim Long Sr. (Bonita) of Halifax and Carolyn (Donald Warfel) of Halifax; her grandchildren, Wayne Warfel (Janie), Jeff Warfel, Sue Jenkins (Keith), Kevin Long, James Long Jr. (Lynn) and Steven Long (Sonya); her great grandchildren, Brittany Warfel, Emma Cella (Nick), Hollie Long, Kami, Austin Warfel and Stephanie Long; her great great grandchildren, Hannah Wall and Luca Cella; her brother Larry Welker (Janice); and her close friend Sallianne Farner Bechtel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd. - Elizabethville (103 W Main St, Elizabethville, PA 17023). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
