He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd G. Newton and Johnnie Mae Newton; and his brothers, Lloyd Newton Jr. and Paul Newton Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Glorine Newton of Ashville, Alabama; his children, Xavier Newton (Breanna) of Pinson, Alex Newton of Birmingham, Alabama, Alexis Newton and Sara Patton of Ashville, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Xavien, Madeleyn, Ailani, Myles and Jahmari; and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Newton of Birmingham, Alabama, Angie Williams of Ashville, Alabama, Stanley Williams of Gadsden, Marcus Williams of Ashville, Marwin Moss of Ragland and Corneilius Moss of Pell City, Alabama. He is also survived by godchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many close friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Overcoming Church (576 Peaceful Valley Rd, Ashville, AL 35953). Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of West Gadsden Funeral Home (2118 Forrest Ave, Gadsden, AL 35904).
