Ernie Mae Duggan, 82, of Franklin Creek, Mississippi, passed away on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 30, 1943, in Moss Point, Mississippi, to Leo and Cleo Linder, she graduated from Moss Point High School in 1961. She worked for Lewis Printing in Pascagoula before joining Ingalls Shipbuilding, where she met her husband, George Duggan Sr. of Biloxi. Married for 31 years until his death, Ernie devoted herself to raising her children before working as a school bus driver for the Moss Point School District. After Hurricane Katrina, she served with FEMA in the Housing Department. An avid crafter, she operated her small business, Kolor Me Krafty, for several years before retiring. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Duggan Sr., her parents, Leo and Cleo Linder, her sister Bonnie Johnson and brother-in-law Ronald Johnson, her brother Leo “Buck” Linder and sister-in-law Billie Ruth Linder, and her beloved dog Jiggs.

Ernie is survived by her children, Ellen (Ben) Howell of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Leo (Tammy) Duggan of Vancleave, Mississippi; stepchildren George (Judy) Duggan Jr. of Gulfport, Mississippi, Michael (Sharon) Duggan of Forest Hill, Maryland, Annette (Kenny) Pitts of Dothan, Alabama, and Anita Duggan of California; daughter-in-law Kitty Duggan of Greenville, Tennessee; grandsons Michael (Daphne) Duggan of Wade, Mississippi, Brandon (Jordyn) Duggan of Ocean Springs, Blake (Katie) Johnson of Moss Point, and Ryan (Elizabeth) Howell of Pascagoula; step-grandchildren Joey, Lori, Candace, Allen, Gabrielle, Thomas, Jamie, Michael, Amanda, Mike, Shannon, and Sean; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind her cherished cat, Maggie.
