Ernie Mae Duggan, 82, of Franklin Creek, MS entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by family. Ernie was born on May 30th, 1943, to Leo and Cleo Linder in Moss Point MS. She graduated from Moss Point High School in 1961. She worked with Lewis Printing of Pascagoula for a few years before moving to Ingalls Shipbuilding, where she met her future husband, George Duggan Sr of Biloxi MS. They were married for 31 years at the time of his death. She stayed at home for several years raising her children. While her children attended school, she worked for the Moss Point School District as a school bus driver. After Hurricane Katrina, she worked with FEMA in the Housing Department. She was an avid crafter and loved making crafts. She had a small craft business, Kolor Me Krafty, for a few years until she finally decided to retire. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Duggan Sr, her parents, Leo and Cleo Linder, her sister, Bonnie Johnson, brother-in-law, Ronald Johnson, brother, Leo (Buck) Linder and sister-in-law, Billie Ruth Linder and her beloved pup, Jiggs.
She is survived by her two children, Ellen (Ben) Howell of Ocean Springs, MS and Leo (Tammy) Duggan of Vancleave MS., stepchildren, George (Judy) Duggan Jr of Gulfport, MS, Michael (Sharon) Duggan of Forrest Hill, MD, Annette (Kenny) Pitts of Dothan Al, and Anita Duggan of California and daughter- in- law, Kitty Duggan of Greenville, TN , four grandsons, Michael (Daphne) Duggan of Wade, MS, Brandon (Jordyn) Duggan of Ocean Springs, MS, Blake (Katie) Johnson of Moss Point, MS and Ryan (Elizabeth) Howell of Pascagoula, MS., step- grandchildren, Joey, Lori, Candace, Allen, Gabrielle, Thomas, Jamie, Michael, Amanda, Mike, Shannon and Sean. She leaves behind a number of great= grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Maggie.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Calvary Gulf Coast ,8324 Woolmarket Rd, Biloxi, MS 39532. Friends may visit one hour prior. Pastor Ryan Howell will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tired Dog Rescue. Pay pal and Venmo are both @TiredDogRescue.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mobile Infirmary Cancer Center and the staff of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice. Your care and compassion were outstanding.
