Ernest Robert "Bob" Bart Sr.

Ernest Robert “Bob” Bart, Sr., 84, of Shinnston, passed away on March 14, 2026, at his residence. Born in Clarksburg on December 1, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Margaret A. Bartlett Bart.

Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly Joyce Baker Bart, whom he married on January 26, 1980; his children, Kenneth Wayne Bart of Shinnston, First Sergeant William Dale Bart and wife Kathy of Kansas, Mary Margaret Wells and husband Tim of Terra Alta, and Ernest Robert Bart II and wife Jenny of Lumberport; and his grandchildren, Ernest Robert “Bobby” Bart III, Meadow Grace Wells and companion Blayne Fearer, Camden Marshall Hunter Wells, Andrew Joseph “A.J.” Bart and companion Allie Bragg, Jacob Anthony Bart, Brody Thomas Hagan, Sumiko Liaiyh Bart, and Tsion Eugene Greenfield Bart. He also cherished his special friends Corey and Jennifer Hagan. He was preceded in death by his brother, John David Bart.

A meat cutter by trade, Bob worked for many years at Thorofare Market in Clarksburg, Garden Fresh in Clarksburg, Foodland in Bridgeport, Shop N Save, and Hyde’s Meat Market in Enterprise. He found great joy in farming and gardening, and he took special delight in attending his grandchildren’s activities.
