Preserve forever →Ernest Leroy Campbell
October 25, 1937— March 9, 2026
Lebo, KS
Ernest Leroy Campbell, known to most as Leroy, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, in Kansas City. Born on October 25, 1937, in Skidmore, Missouri, he was the son of Ernest and Zella (Rolette) Campbell. After graduating from high school, Leroy worked for 28 years as an office equipment repair technician for Pitney Bowes.
In 1978, he married the love of his life, Geneva. Together they raised a family and later opened a costume store called Costumes and More. The shop became a true family business, where his grandchildren eventually worked alongside him. Leroy was a devoted family man who cherished time with those closest to him. He had a lifelong passion for tinkering with machinery and possessed a remarkable talent for fixing things, whether repairing cars or solving problems with just about anything that needed mending.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geneva Campbell; stepdaughter, Annette Williamson; and grandchildren, Tyler Williamson, Haley Williamson, and Kristen Williamson. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Bryan Vogts; his parents; his brothers, Gary Campbell and Larry Campbell; and his sisters, Connie Campbell and Shirley Campbell.
