Ernest Lenwood Morgan, Jr.

Ernest Lenwood Morgan, Jr., known affectionately as Lenny, of Zachary, passed away at his home on March 9, 2026, at the age of 65. A longtime resident of Zachary, he retired from Exxon after a dedicated career. Lenny was a devoted family man whose quiet strength and steadfast presence were deeply cherished by those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Case and her husband Josh, and Jenny Lipscomb and her husband Travis; his sister, Sue Mestepey and her husband Rogers; five grandchildren, Grayson, Dalton, Jolie, Jaxson, and Cruz; and his mother-in-law, Mildred Threeton. Lenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dedra Maloy Morgan; their infant son, Jonathan Lenwood Morgan; his granddaughter, Josie Marie Lipscomb; his parents, Ernest Lenwood Morgan, Sr. and Betty Morgan; and his sisters, Marcia Milliken and Nina Jo Gayle.

Lenny’s memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and the enduring bonds he nurtured throughout his life.
