Ernest Jackson Sheppard

Ernest Jackson “EJ” Sheppard, 46, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on May 27, 1979, in Opelika, Alabama, to Edward Wayne and Sharon Bracknell Sheppard, EJ lived a life defined by quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and a deep capacity for love.

He was a devoted husband to Laure, a loving father to Hannah, Kaylee, Jadan, Clayton, and Journie, and a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. EJ approached every challenge with determination, working tirelessly to provide for his family while facing his own battles with courage and grace. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel valued; anyone who truly knew him became family, and he would move mountains to support them. His example taught those around him to face hardship with gratitude, to believe in themselves, and to pursue their dreams with persistence.

EJ is survived by his wife, Laure Sheppard; his children, Hannah, Kaylee, Jadan, Clayton, and Journie; his mother, Sharon Sheppard; his siblings, Shanda Sheppard, Jeffery Sheppard, and Linda Underwood; and his nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Colby, and Shelby Sheppard.
