He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Scheid and Hilda Scheid; and his wife Patricia Scheid. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Michael Scheid (Patricia), Valerie Anne Gumbleton (Thomas), Keith David Scheid (Tracey) and Anne Marie LaChance (Steven); his grandchildren, Andrea Garzolini (Deno), Amy Scheid (Nicolle), Ryan Gumbleton (Alisha), Patrick Gumbleton (Hillary), Elena LaChance and Maya LaChance; and his great grandchildren, Everett, Graham and Isla Gumbleton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hopcroft Funeral Home-Madison Heights (31145 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). A rosary will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 6:30 PM and at 7:30 PM. The lying in state will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
