Ernest Anthony Vingas

Ernest Anthony Vingas, 90, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, March 13, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 9, 1935, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine Chunkala Vingas.

A U.S. Army veteran, Ernie was a longtime member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. He retired as a mechanic from Lee Norse, where his skill and steady presence earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Golomb. Ernie is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Emil Crisi of Monessen; his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Tina Vingas of Monongahela; four grandsons, Justin and Amy Crisi, Anthony and Amanda Vingas, Nicholas and Rebecca Vingas, and Joseph Vingas; one granddaughter, Angelica Crisi; three great-granddaughters, Arianna Crisi, Alana Vingas, and Sophia Vingas; and five great-grandsons, Brody Crisi, Brex Crisi, Brayden Crisi, Brier Crisi, and Matthew Vingas.
