Eric Paul Stopa

Eric Paul Stopa, 63, of Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 7, 2026. Born on February 17, 1963, to the late Edward and Nancy (Green) Stopa, Eric possessed a deep passion for teaching children and helping those in need. He found joy in playing music on various instruments, writing in his spare time, and spending time in nature, which he truly loved.

He is survived by his siblings, Sue (Rob) Fredricksen, Lynn (Bob) Brandon, and Brad (Christine) Stopa, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved greatly and great-nieces and nephews whom he adored. Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nancy Stopa.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Plymouth Coffee Bean in Plymouth, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Little Victors Wagon Program or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
