Eric Paul Jones

March 21, 1958 March 12, 2026

Noblesville, IN

Eric Paul Jones of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on March 21, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earl and Wilma (Jackson) Jones, he was a man of deep faith who loved God and is now at rest in the arms of his Lord. His parents were both born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.

Eric is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Jones; his daughter, Aundrea (Jon) Boyle; his son, Austin Jones; his grandson, Lennon Boyle; his brother, Jerry (Danielle) Jones; his brother-in-law, Doug Holderfield; his sister-in-law, Rosemarie Adams; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and his beloved dog, Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four sisters, Connie, Marsha, Nelda, and Cheryl.

A graduate of Arsenal Tech High School, class of 1977, Eric honorably served his country as a PFC in the United States Army from 1981 to 1984. Stationed in Germany and at Ft. Harrison, he earned a distinguished rifleman badge, Army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, and driver badge. After marrying Linda, the couple settled in Noblesville, where they raised their family. Eric worked as a CNC machinist, skillfully reading blueprints and using micrometers to create precision parts. Known for his strong work ethic, he arrived at work an hour or two early each day, both to avoid being late and to secure his preferred parking spot.

Eric cherished his faith, reading the Bible, and watching movies. He loved his family deeply, and they returned that love in equal measure. A devoted Indianapolis Colts fan no matter the score, he shared his passion for sports with his son and took great joy in attending Austin’s school games. Eric had a gift for making those around him laugh with his playful antics.
