Albany, TX
Eric Lee Hobbs, 34, of Albany, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on January 24, 1992, in Abilene, Texas, to Stacy Hobbs Bowen and Richard Pratt, Eric was remembered for his loving heart, contagious laughter, and his ability to brighten any room with his presence. Those closest to him cherished his humor, unwavering loyalty, and the genuine care he showed for the people in his life.
Though Eric faced personal challenges that made his journey more difficult, he fought quietly through struggles that never defined the whole of who he was. Above all, he was a devoted dad, son, brother, and friend whose life held deep meaning for everyone who knew him. He found joy in spending time outdoors with family and friends at Stamford Lake and The River, celebrating special moments with loved ones, and embracing the role of fatherhood. The connections he built, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will remain treasured by all who loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Evan Lee Hobbs of Pampa, Texas; his mother, Stacy Hobbs Bowen and stepfather Frankie Early of Abilene, Texas; his father, Richard Pratt of Hico, Texas; his grandmother, Brenda Hobbs of Albany, Texas; sisters Britney Zamudio and husband Andre of San Angelo, Texas, and Alexis Pratt of Hico, Texas; brothers Casey Bowen of Abilene, Texas, Brady Ramsey of Wichita Falls, Texas, Noah Ramsey of Canyon, Texas, Doug Clifton of Canyon, Texas, and William Robison of Killeen, Texas; and uncles and aunts Steven and Melissa Hobbs of Albany, Texas, John and Barbara Hobbs of Hawley, Texas, Billy and Karen Pratt of Granbury, Texas, Steven Pratt of Stephenville, Texas, Kenneth and Barbara Pratt of Stephenville, Texas, and Charles and Trisha Pratt of Stephenville, Texas, along with many dear friends and extended family members.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bart (Randy) Hobbs and DeWayne Pratt, and his grandmother, Marlyn Pratt. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
