Eric Johnson

Eric Lewis Johnson, 49, of Cash, passed away on March 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 23, 1976, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Robert Lewis and Patricia Johnson, Eric graduated from Westside High School in the Class of 1994. A dedicated member of Valley Ridge Baptist Church for more than 20 years, he spent over 30 years working on the river, the last 20 of those as Chief Engineer on a riverboat with Hines Furlong Line. He was also a longtime member of the Beech Creek Hunting Club and the Elks Lodge.

Eric loved the outdoors and found great satisfaction in hunting and processing meat. He cherished his time at Lake Norfork, embraced lake life, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his wife of 28 years, Jessica.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Johnson; his son, Sgt. Dawson Johnson; his daughter, Erika Johnson; his father, Lewis (Loyce) Johnson; his mother, Patricia Johnson; his brothers, Michael (Gayla) Johnson, Jason Johnson, and Erin (Rayna) Johnson; his grandmother, Fostine Jordan; along with multiple nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends who will cherish his memory.
