Emma Curtis

Emma Curtis of Lubbock, Texas, was born in Keota, Oklahoma, to Harmon Lee Netherlain and Dora Mae Reed Netherlain. She married Carroll Dean Curtis in 1964, and the couple shared 60 and a half years of marriage. Emma passed away at home on March 4, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her children.

Her greatest passions were food, family, and faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Jesse Mae and Harmon Steven, her husband Carroll Dean, and her daughter Anji.

Emma is survived by her sons Larry and his wife Amy, James and his wife Amber, her daughter Carol and her husband Robert Ellen, and her four grandchildren, Johnathan, Christopher, Samantha, and Samantha’s fiancé James Gifford.
