March 23, 1989— March 10, 2026
Chicago, IL
Emily Andrews, née Hamlin, 36, of Chicago and Flossmoor, passed away suddenly on March 10, 2026. A beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Emily touched everyone around her with her warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband, Andres Andrews; her parents, Mark and Debra Hamlin; and her sisters, Lauren (Pedro) Sahagun, Rebecca (Joe) Kleinhans, and Kristin (Mark) Goesel. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony (Carlene) Morales, Sergio (Lauren) Lund, and Pam Andrews, as well as her mother-in-law, Pamela Lund. Emily was the cherished granddaughter of Claire (the late Homer) Hamlin, Jackie (Tom) Holba, and the late Robert MacNaught. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews Harrison and Everett Goesel, Antonio Kai, Adalynna and Aila Morales, and Harrison and Vivian Lund, who all adored her. Emily shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Cosima, known as Cosi, who was her constant companion until her recent passing.
Emily had a gift for making people laugh. Hilarious and quick-witted, she lit up every room she entered. Those who met her instantly loved her, while those closest to her treasured her loyalty, kindness, and enormous heart. She loved to travel and create memories with the people she held dear, embracing every chance to gather with family and friends. Emily was also the family photographer, always ensuring everyone came together for a picture at holidays, celebrations, and everyday moments, because she understood the lasting value of those captured memories.
To her family, Emily was more than a wife, sister, or daughter—she was a best friend. Her love, laughter, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed, yet the memories she created and preserved will endure in the hearts of all who loved her.
