With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emilian Ilie of Winthrop, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 7, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Emilian departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Emilian. Though Emilian may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jana; his son Dragos (N. H.); his daughter-in-law Jill; his grandchildren, Gaby and Alex; his sisters, Catina and Valentina; and his parents, Dumitru Ilie and Vergilia Ilie. He was also cherished by husband of 48 years, a loving father, and the best Papa to his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son Funeral Home (147 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
